Cultus Lake and Cheam Peak, BC
Cultus Lake is a fairly large lake near Chilliwack, BC, in the Cascade foothills. It covers an area of 627 ha, with a mean depth of 23 metres and maximum depth of 42 metres. It is heavily used for recreation in the summer; a resort community is located at the north end, and Cultus Lake Provincial Park, with several large campgrounds, covers much of the east side.
Cheam Peak (2104 metres or 6903 feet), in the centre background, is reflected in the lake's rippled waters.
