Stawamus Chief Mountain, BC

Although it rises only 702 m (2303 feet) above sea level, Stawamus Chief Mountain features a vertical 450-m granite cliff on its west side, facing Highway 99 (seen on the left here). It is one of the most popular rock-climbing cliffs in Canada.

Stwamus Chief Provincial Park was established in 1997.
