Hayrick Butte, Oregon

This flat-topped mountain, whose summit is 1683 metres (5523 feet) above sea level, is located just south of Santiam Pass, Oregon, next to the Hoodoo Ski Area. It is actually a volcano-- a rare type called a tuya volcano, which erupted under an ice sheet and melted through to the surface, hence the flat top and steep sides.
