A Dramatic Start
WAMX 4223 was drawn to work on L463/L863 for about a week back in September. Here we see L863 spotting loads at Primex as those mid morning autumn clouds roll in, providing a dramatic background to the start of the day.
It's been a long road for me to get to the point where I can actually take a minute to catch my breath. In the middle of August, I really started buckling down to prepare for my qualifying exams (which, if passed, would allow me to continue with my PhD). After those, the gas never let up.
However, I forced myself to get out and smell the flowers for a bit in order to keep my sanity. Although, in the case of the 4223, saying I "forced" myself to try and catch it was a bit of a stretch...I put way too much time in trying to catch this thing than I would like to admit. In the end, the novelty wore off...it's just a pig with lipstick folks.
