World Dream at the Meyer Werft Papenburg 17 - Blue hour 2
The World Dream is the second cruiseship for Dream Cruises, a brand of Genting Hong Kong. The ship is build at the Meyer Werft in Papenburg and seen here the day before her conveyance on the river Ems to Eemshaven in the Netherlands. It is a tradition that huge amounts of campers are arriving from all over Germany from shipfans who want to view the conveyance the next morning.
The ship is a "Breakaway-Plus" class ship and quite similar to the ships Norwegian Escape, Genting Dream and Norwegian Joy.
World Dream is especially made for the Asian market and has hull-art made by Shanghainese artist, Jacky Tsai with Asian themes on the hull and bow.

De World Dream is het 2e cruiseschip voor Dream Cruises, een merk van Genting Hong Kong. Het schip is gebouwd op de Meyer Werf in Papenburg en heb ik gefotografeerd op de dag voor haar vertrek van de werf, over de rivier de Ems richting de Eemshaven in Nederland. Traditiegetrouw arriveren er campers uit heel Duitsland om het vertrek van het schip de volgende dag te kunnen bekijken.
Het schip is van de zgn. Breakaway-Plus klasse schepen en vrijwel identiek aan de Norwegian Escape, Genting Dream en Norwegian Joy.
De World Dream is van binnen speciaal ontworpen voor de Aziatische markt en heeft een beschildering op de boeg en romp gemaakt door Jacky Tsai uit Shanghai, bestaande uit diverse klassieke Asiatische thema's.
