Folded Optic System
Folded Optic makes telephoto zooming in smartphone possible! In a Folded Optic system image is being beamed through either in 90 degrees reflecting folded mirror or directly through a folded optic before passing a series of light correction lenses into the image sensor.
This technique has the advantage of collecting better light and maintain high quality image in a very short focal distance when it is used in telephoto camera on nowadays' thin smartphone bodies. Huawei was the first smartphone using this technology in its Optical Zoom camera.
