hawaiiHROID

This is my good friend, Hawaii. I took him to a new spot to shoot a skate photo.... After we got it, I explained that I wasn't done with him and I wanted to snap some portraits in hopes of finishing a roll of film. I started with a hassel-roid to make sure my lighting/exposure was correct, and then finished my roll of Kodak TMAX in the 'blad.

I don't always keep the hasselroids, because the real frame will look the same, but I liked this one. I've never really shot a strobist portrait @ ƒ2.8 through the hassey, and I just love the bokeh!

strobist: Paul C. Buff Einstein into 22" socked beauty dish to camera right. Powered by a Vagabond Mini and fired with Pocket Wizard Plus II's.
