This is my good friend, Rob Church. I haven't seen him in a few years, and somehow we got together and went skating....
We went through Berkeley (with a bunch of other homies) and ended up at this spot. I've never been here before, but I really wanted to shoot a photo!
I suggested b/s tailslide, and Rob was the man for the job. He started doing it, and then wanted me to shoot a sequence of him doing back tail shuv... I don't like to take sequences as much as stills (because I can make stills better. Sniper vs. Machine Gun?), so I suggested to just stick with the back tail. One last try and he rolled his ankle, so this is not actually a land. I like the photo a lot, and it's of a special friend of mine, so I'm posting it anyways.
strobist: Paul C. Buff Einstein into 7" reflector to camera left. 2 sb-900s to camera right, and a 3rd sb-900 on camera. fired by a Pocket Wizard FlexTT5 on camera with Plus II's all around.
