flickr

where it all started...

 

had to decide if i was going to renew my subscription today.

it's been six years since i bought my first camera and joined flickr.

my original intent was just to use flickr as a database tool to keep track of my pics.

at the time, i had no idea what affect clicking on the "join now" button would have on my world.

 

to my surprise, people actually took interest in my crappy shots.

their kind words of encouragement motivated me to take even more crappy shots.

then one day, i attended my first flickr meetup...

 

wam! bam! my life would never be the same again!

through flickr, i have been blessed to meet amazing people from all over the world.

from waianae to the northshore...from alaska to new york...from japan to iceland...young and old…

 

we've celebrated the birth of children and mourned the passing of loved ones.

we've laughed, cried, and fought...

we've guided and inspired each other…

not only in this artform we call photography, but in the way we live our lives.

 

to all the wonderful people i've been blessed to meet over the past six years,
