Say I love you with a ... Sparrow?

I took my wife over to see the mating pair of merlins that I found the other day. We just got to the busy, busy intersection when she said, "There he is!". I pointed and picked him up through the mass of cables and wires that lined the streets. I got off 10 frames and this was the only one that was in good focus. The two other pedestrians at the corner thought the sky was falling with all the commotion.

 

I'm guessing that this is the male bringing a gift to the female. A neighbour stuck his head out and said he saw them mating, yesterday.
