Pseudo Evening Star
A memorable day at the GC on 22 April 2015. 9F 92214 painted in BR lined green presented the opportunity to dress her up as 92220 'Evening Star'. She looked identical right down to her commemorative plates, credit to the railway and Timeline Events for making it happen.
She is seen here at Swithland Sidings with a chartered goods.
The real 92220 was the final steam engine built by British Railways and as a result was the only 9F that wasn't plain black. She resides at the National Railway Museum.
