TJ Land of Dreams

This is the piece I made for Lemon Fest 2011, wanted to give it a crafty brown distressed look using recycled paper and starbucks napkins. I included my City's Landmarks and the traditional Mexican Zebra mascot that's not a zebra but a donkey painted as a zebra as custom.

Some may see her only like an illustration but if you put attention you could see much more beyond the rainbow, you could hear the message that this little Mexican Zebrita has to tell, between colors, clouds, happy faces and a bunch of green dollarukos, little Revu - mexican zebrita - tells us that It’s good to dream, we can dream that our streets are not full with blood because of the cartels and money, we can dream that Tijuana is the land were dreams come true a land of opportunity.

Esta es la obra que hice para Lemon Fest 2011, quize darle un efecto hecho a mano asi como maltratado usando materiales reciclados como el papel y servilletas que dan en starbucks. Agrege las atracciones de la ciudad asi como tambien la tradiccional zebra-burro ^_^

Algunos la podrán ver solo como una muestra ilustrativa pero si pones atención podrás ver mas alla de los arcoíris, podrás escuchar el mensaje que esta zebrita tiene que mostrarte, entre colores, nubes, coquetillas miradas y una paca de dollarukos verdes, la pequeña Revu - mexican zebrita - nos dice que se vale soñar, se vale soñar que nuestras calles no estén llenas de sangre por culpa del dinero, se vale soñar que Tijuana es la tierra de los sueños y de la oportunidad.

 

Técnica Mixta

Acrílico a base de agua sobre papel revolución 100% reciclado en caja de pizza.
