Crenshaw Blvd Walk
Academy Theater (1939). Originally named and built for the Academy Awards, that never took place here. The design by S. Charles Lee included a pronounced sweeping corkscrew around the pylon that lead up to a starburst on top. Sometime after 1956, the corkscrew spiral were removed and simplified.
