Castle Rock
Predjama Castle, built in Gothic Style during the Renaissance, in the mouth of a large cave in the Karst Region of Slovenia. The geologic term karst—limestone full of cavernous dissolutions—is derived from the name of this region. The largest cave in Europe—Postojna, a few km down the road—is the day’s destination.
