Fiercely Repelling the Invader
Two Great Egrets, Ardea alba, in breeding plumage and flight, at the rookery in Resoft County Park, Alvin Texas. The guy at the left has a mate on the nest in this tree, and has taken offense at the proximity and posturing of the guy on his back foot at the right. The argument proceeded for a while, but the invader was eventually persuaded to back off. Happy ending!
