Dragonette
Rambur's Forktail, Ischnura ramburii, on floating algae in the lake at Seabourne Creek Nature Park. Damselflies share Order Odonata with Dragonflies.
Tech note: 4 or 5 m away was still too far for a tight shot--even at 600mm--so I added 25% to the crop factor with a 20fps burst for a 750mm field of view, or about 1150mm full-frame equivalent. 16 hand-held images made it a candidate for super-resolution. Cropped even tighter--maybe a factor of two--then interpolated to about double, auto-aligned, converted to smart object, median stack. The subject was not completely motionless, but it turned out OK, I think.
