The Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, was designed by the architecture and environment consulting company EDAW, and installed in 1996. The memorial, funded by Frank B. Fuhrer Wholesale Company, is dedicated to the law enforcement personnel from Allegheny County who made the "supreme sacrifice" outside of Allegheny County. The most prominent feature of the memorial is Ever Watchful, a bronze sculpture by Susan Wagner of an officer who looks over his shoulder to watch the city.
