Voices of Diversity, March 19, 2008: Racial Disparities in Healthcare

In King County, a Native American baby is four times more likely to die before his or her first birthday than a white baby. African American women are nearly twice more likely to die from breast cancer than Asian Americans. Why is there such a big racial disparity between health care? Is it biological or cultural? What can be done about it? We’ll discuss these issues and more today on Voices of Diversity.
