Pieces of History
Both the route and the bus are a piece of history now. As the bus, New to K Line, Honley Ikarus Citibus Bodied DAF SB220 with Fleet Number 29 registered M819 RCP is seen working the 278 to Halifax from Wakefield, which now only runs between Dewsbury and Halifax being replaced by the extended 268 between Wakefield and Dewsbury. The bus itself was withdrawn from service and scrapped in late 2009/early 2010.
