Pictured Rocks hike - Chapel Basin loop

I just got back from a 9.3 mile hike through the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The hike was worth the effort and I was fortunate enough to have perfect weather all day. This was one of the better vantage points for Summertime photos of the cliffs from the top. The trees are thick along the edge of the cliffs and there aren't too many places where it's safe to stand. I'd love to see this part of the coastline around sunset but it is a couple miles from the nearest campground and several miles from the trailhead and parking lot. The color of the Lake Superior water is fantastic.
