Rainy Sunrise at Monument Valley, Arizona
You certainly know the feeling when you set the alarm clock very early to photograph a sunrise... you're not really awake yet, but you can already hear it raining outside... you just want to stay in bed and go back to sleep. ..especially if you're not an early bird :-)
That's the theory - in practice, of course, you don't miss the chance, especially if you've made a trip to the Southwest of the USA for it... :-)
And so we were the first to stand there and hoped that the sun would somehow appear - and as you can see, it peeked out from under the clouds - and it was always more atmospheric than without clouds...

Ihr kennt sicherlich das Gefühl, wenn man sehr früh den Wecker gestellt hat, um einen Sonnenaufgang zu fotografieren...man ist noch nicht richtig wach, aber man hört es draußen schon regnen...da möchte man am liebsten gleich liegenbleiben und weiterschlafen...speziell wenn man kein Frühaufsteher ist :-)
Soweit die Theorie - in der Praxis lässt man sich natürlich die Chance nicht entgehen, speziell wenn man dafür eine Reise in den Südwesten der USA unternommen hat... :-)
Und so standen wir als erste dort und hofften darauf, dass die Sonne doch irgendwie erscheinen würde - und wie ihr sehen könnt, lugte sie dann doch noch unter den Wolken hervor - und allemal stimmungsvoller als ohne Wolken...
