Pink Floyd at Marlboro Point - Utah
What a wonderful view point - well-known from the Marlboro commercial, which, in addition to cigarettes, primarily sold an attitude to life of adventure and freedom...
We parked our yuppie SUV a few miles from the viewpoint and hiked the rest of the way - more than worth it.
And as if we wanted to shoot a promotional video, an off-road vehicle appeared after us - brand - "there can't be any rock blocking my way" - and fittingly with a strapped surfboard...
The driver - brand hippie from the 70s - then calmly sat down with a folding chair on the edge of the cliff, smoked a cigarette (probably Marlboro) and enjoyed the view with loud music from Pink Floyd - "Shine On You Crazy Diamond".
The whole thing was like from another planet and so we enjoyed this unique view with the best music - how crazy does that sound :-) and indeed it was...

Was für ein wunderbarer Aussichtspunkt - bekannt aus der Marlboro Werbung, die ja neben Zigaretten vor allem ein Lebensgefühl von Abenteuer und Freiheit verkauft hat...
Wir stellten unseren Yuppie SUV ein paar Meilen vor dem Viewpoint ab und wanderten die restliche Strecke - mehr als lohnenswert.
Und als hätten wir ein Werbevideo drehen wollen, tauchte nach uns ein Geländewagen auf - Marke - "mir kann doch kein Fels den Weg versperren" - und passend dazu mit einem aufgeschnallten Surfbrett...
Der Fahrer - Marke Hippie aus den 70ern - setzte sich dann in aller Seelenruhe mit einem Klappstuhl an den Rand der Klippe, rauchte eine Zigarette (wahrscheinlich Marlboro) und genoss die Aussicht bei lauter Musik von Pink Floyd - "Shine On You Crazy Diamond". Das Ganze war wie von einem anderen Stern und so genossen wir diese einmalige Aussicht bei bester Musik - wie verrückt klingt das :-) und es war tatsächlich so...
