Carlotta Patti
An 1865 CdV of Carlotta Patti (1835-1889) the sister of Adelina Patti. A slight lameness interfered with her stage work so she confined her career to the concert platform. Her first public appearance was during 1861 and such was her success she was commanded to sing before Queen Victoria. It is said that her voice was one of the highest sopranos known.
