Robert Watkin-Mills:

He was born in Painswick, Gloucestershire, England on 4th Mar 1849 and died in Toronto, Canada on 10th Dec 1930.

 

He made his debut at in a concert at London's Crystal Palace on 17th May 1884 and he restricted his career mainly to concert and oratorio.

 

At the triennial Leeds Festival on 16th Oct 1886 he sang the role of the Forester in the world première of Arthur Sullivan's cantata The Golden Legend with the composer conducting.

 

On 18th Jan 1893 he sang in the world première of Ethel Smyth's Mass in D at the Royal Albert Hall.
