D-Day Museum - New Orleans, LA 2012

Earlier this year I had the unique opportunity to attend a private party at the D-Day Museum in New Orleans.

At first, you might wonder what the heck the D-Day Museum is doing in NOLA. Once you learn that the famous Landing Craft Vehicles and Personnel (LCVP) or "Higgins Boat" were invented and manufactured in New Orleans, it all starts to make sense.

The layout of this museum includes a "Pacific Theater" and "European Theater" of operations. Both have excellent examples of the equipment, weapons and flags from each country's military.

The museum is worth visiting if you are history buff or just want to get out of the heat of the day for a couple hours. The artifacts in this place are amazing!
