The Long Grave Yard

The full Chinese name for the Great Wall of China is 万里长城 (wàn lǐ cháng chéng), which can be translated to the nickname of ‘Infinite Great Wall’ or ‘Infinitely Long Wall’.

There is a myth that many of the thousands (tens of thousands?) of people who died constructing the wall were buried underneath. I don't know if this is actually true or not, but it makes for an interesting story.

This image was created using more than a dozen portrait-orientated images stitched together in Photoshop to make a panorama.
