Inuksuk - English Bay, Vancouver BC
An Inuksuk is a stone landmark built by the Inuit people, usually along the coastline. No one knows for sure the origins of this, but it is thought to be a reference point or landmark.
This was my last stop on my jog around Stanley Park. Though not technically part of Stanley Park, West-End or "Sunset Beach" is very close to the park entrance and is connected by the bike path.
The beach is spectacular and provides ample recreation opportunities like beach volleyball, swimming and relaxing in the sun/sand. I have heard this is a great place to watch the fireworks as well.
I would definitely plan on spending at least one evening of your trip to Vancouver watching the sunset here.
