Jim, February 1985
A little something from the archives, in honor of my novelist friend Jim Hynes inaugurating his sleek new website.
Around this point I took this, Jim was writing brainy TV criticism for the independent Michigan Voice—published by a then little-known Flint native named Michael Moore.
Jim's 2001 book The Lecturer's Tale is a genre-bending tour de force, a withering satire of academic postmodernism and a gothic horror tale, all rolled up into one wild ride you should go out and buy immediately.
