Leatherwood Honey

okay, i didnt down the whole jar but this has to be said. no, i dont get commission from them but once you've tried it, u'll get bored of honey from your supermarket. a huge percentage of this Tasmanian produce is exported so keep a lookout for it in your local Aussie specialty stores!

One of the most popular local produce for Tasmania is Leatherwood Honey, as described here by Australia National Uni.

Tasmanian Leatherwood honey is seen as an icon for Tasmania's clean green image and food products. It is a natural food harvested from wilderness and wet forest areas that can be linked to other Tasmanian products and Tasmania's branding image.

It has a strong flavour and particularly distinctive aroma. It is unique to Tasmania and has established a worldwide reputation as a distinct honey type.
