These Quick Curl dresses are surprisingly chic nowadays, yeah? Check out Midge in Kelley's version. (Another Steffie I adore, much like Midge.) I think it's the sheer sleeves and exaggerated collar making it work. Maybe. I have the pink version of the dress too but Midge is much more beautiful with her red hair contrasting the green.
