Expectation

I shot this portrait of my girlfriend as we sat on a platform, waiting for our train home. I rarely do these kinds of high-noise high-contrast monochromes, or even photos that diverge from the rule of thirds. As usual I'm not sure about the facial expression, but how about expectation? She does seem to be expecting something or someone to appear out of the black abyss.
