A Multi-PoV Portrait of the Pano-Sabotage Photographer as Shaman
Second in a series of experiments with "MonitorPano". Please see the notes to the previous image "Graph ET 1" for a detailed look at the technique's background and how it's being used today.
Here I "MonitorPanoed" across three photo manipulated versions of a straight SLR shot of my self in my "Mayan Shaman" Halloween costume. Getting more control of the tricky co-ordination required I found that I was able to be a bit more deft and able to bring out specific features as the camera passed.
I particularly wanted to post this image as the illusion of a "Surrealistic" "reality" is also seen directly as itself but also as participating in the visible process being used. You can see me operating my cell phone, reflected in the desktops monitor screen and the windows to my apartment to the left as well. To the right the camera actually photographed the edge of my iMac, thereby revealing several facts about the process of making a "MonitorPano" image - all at once.
The "stellated" mirroring of the same image was added to unite the composition and to give it "the magic third".
Image culled from 3 processed variations of the same photograph shot in 2011 and completed in this form June 6, 2018.
Created for both PANO-Visions "PANO to the Metal" contest and the Award Tree Group's "Colourama" challenge.
