Students from Old Dominion University and Virginia Tech assisted Virginia Sea Grant extension agent Michelle Covi on a resilience survey in Hampton, Virginia, through a 4-VA grant. The students went door to door in three coastal neighborhoods prone to flooding and asked residents about their experiences with flooding.
An overview of the survey results will provide the City of Hampton with flood planning information, like first-floor home elevations in vulnerable neighborhoods. June 4, 2019.
