Sudama, of Modern Times!
The image is of Mr.Madhavanunny, who once had a chance to don the attire of Sudama’s character (commonly known as Kuchela, a childhood friend of Lord Krishna in Mahabharatha) while reciting Bhagavata Sapthaham. Overwhelmed by the accolades, he started donning it regularly and eventually ended up using it to gain favours from kind hearted people to make both ends meet. The story is that the original Sudama forgets to ask for a favour from Krishna, for which he set out from his home. Alas... the modern day Sudama doesn’t.
This was taken a few months back, at the festival grounds of Ochira Parabrahma Temple, Kerala.
