Meet Saasha
Was lucky to come across some amazing strangers despite the limited time in Prague - Yulia, Louise, Oliver and last but not the least Saasha.
I met Saasha on the last evening of our trip as we were strolling the Xmas markets. Unfortunately it was already late so natural light was already a big issue plus I did not have a lot of lighting equipment. But when I met this young lady with her companion (her brother I later learned) I decide to take a chance despite the limitation.
Once I approached them and made my request, relieved that she accepted (language was my concern) we chatted a little before clicking a few shots. Sasha is a student doing her Masters - she lives in St. Petersburg in Russia. Her favorite memory - she said was her cat. When I reiterated I was referring to her memory - she said the time she spent with cat which she was very fond of made it special. She loved reading and hanging out with her friends. She had a difficult time initially thinking about her best quality - her brother said that he obviously loves everything about her but she had great charisma. Sasha added that she had a nice sense of humor - her brother playfully disagreed. Personally I do agree with her brother that she had great presence and knew that she stood out. When she spoke, she spoke in deliberate well thought out manner, and came across a strong determined young lady.
For the lighting, I used high ISO and also tried to the available light from the bulbs in the Xmas market carts, facing her towards the light.
Thanks a lot Saasha (and your brother) for letting me photograph you. Hope you had a great time in Prague. If you would like a hi-res copy of the images do let me know. All the very best to you both
