Just another nutty '90s BNSF lashup. I wasn't fortunate enough to catch one of the SDF40-2s leading a train before the lack of ditch lights kept them off the point but they showed up trailing on the St. Croix Sub occasionally before their retirement. The leader has had the headlight dropped but otherwise just soldiers on as part of a decades long run on the mainline. September 11, 1999.
