Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis)
Description by my daughter. :-)
My first time to watch and experience the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) at minus 30 degrees, I was eagerly waiting to see the Aurora though mother nature wasn't so encouraging about the clouds in the sky, but, I was still full of hope. To ease my worry, I asked the receptionist of the lodge about the weather, well she told me that according to wunderground.com, that the clouds would clear by 1.30-2.00AM and I was happy for a while, but i knew that I would start to worry too much so I started watching TV to distract myself.
At 2AM, I started to get more anxious as the clouds had not cleared up but I convinced myself to wait another hour and my patience did pay off after all when the staff told us that the Aurora was starting to get visible. Excited, I gathered all my equipment (together with my beautiful wife) and rushed out the door.
There it was, the Northern Lights it was so painfully beautiful I almost forgot to take a shot, so... here is one of my favorite shot that I wanted to share with all of you. ;-)
