I see this guy almost everyday. Some people who don't know him are scared of him because of all his tattoos and piercings, but he is one of the nicest Train Operators I know. He's a bit mad, but that's all part of the lovely personality. He is a keen cyclist and does a lot of long distance cycling. London to Brighton? He's probably done it.

I miss the old canteen in North Greenwich Train Crew. All the seats would've been filled and there would've been a general air of banter, good chatter and company. When the canteen moved over to the new Fleet House Train Crew in Stratford, all of that kind of died away because of the change to duties and where meal reliefs were had (most of the East End boys have their grub up at Wembley these days).
Sometimes it's nice when it's peaceful like this though. North Greenwich never had any windows because it was underground, and on days like these, sometimes it's nice to just bask in the afternoon sun with a paper and a nice cup of tea.
