Farringdon platform signage replaced
Just when I thought the station sign had gone to the scrap heap (as is usually the case with perfectly good signs during upgrades or refurbishment works), it returns back to its rightful place. I had wondered where it had disappeared to.
It was removed some time ago, revealing markings and wear from a roundel that had been there previously from many years before, the uncovering of which reminded me of times where things have been removed from walls to reveal vintage posters underneath that were simply never removed. This constant layering of textures and history on the Underground never ceases to amaze me.
