On our way back to the hotel that night, these things were hanging around, with a whole load of Oriental people milling about and confused other people. I went to take a picture, then one of the guys involved with this was like, "I know you want to have your picture!" and he took my iPhone off me and moved me along (he did ask Mike if he wanted to have his picture taken too, but he politely declined). I asked the two weird things what they were supposed to be, but I don't think they understood me (they were more into doing their poses). So I asked the guy taking the picture when I went to get my iPhone back off him and he said something in another language. Confused, I asked again, and he was like, "Ohhhhh – you know alocohawl? Beer? Beer?" and then he gave me a branded pen which had a tiny plastic 2D bottle of the beer as the pen clip. Can't find anything about this stuff on the interwebs though. Crazy Koreans.
