Waiting for explosions in the sky to come on stage. This is the first gig I decided to capture on film – and it was the first time I'd taken the Hasselblad out for a spin live, so we'll just have to see how it all turned out. One of the bouncers tried to stop me taking photos, I think he thought I was recording initially, but when I showed him the winding crank, he realised that I just had a film camera. Looks like film rules when you're going to gigs – I'm a bit tired of trying to sneak in my 5D.
Absolutely amazing instrumental band that sound even better live. They really do come to life off the record. I loved the fact that they also had the Texas flag on one of the amps to show how proud they are of where they hail from.
