The Underground is quite good at involuntarily putting its staff at risk, as well as wasting time and money. Believe it or not, travelling to and from work in uniform (even if you're under a civvie jacket) is still considered as being on duty, but for some reason, the lines around safety are blurred during those times. I have to get four taxis home on Sundays because of the merged schedule between the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines. My journey starts (or is supposed to start) around 0030 and I get home just after 0230.

The final leg involves getting out of one taxi at Rayners Lane to wait for another taxi to take me to Eastcote. On this occasion, I was left there for about 20 minutes, where I came close to jabbing some weirdo of a guy with my J-door key.
