tbtc weekend woes

Or 'Too Buggered to Care', as some people have dubbed the new signalling, amongst other variations that I can't really put down here.

Jubilee Line EPIC FAIL over the weekend. Can't be bothered to go into the details, but let's just say none of us were really amused. It's a bit demoralising to say the least that yet again we have been told to tell the public that the Jubilee Line Weekend Shutdown Saga is to continue for even longer. It's even more demoralising that no matter what, ignorant members of the public will always see these shutdowns as the fault of those on the the frontline, even though the engineering works are something completely out of our control.

I was still just a little'un at school when the people moaning today were the same people who voted in the government that brought about the waste of time and money that is the PPP.

If I could have the network function on the weekends as normal, believe me, I would want that, because it means I can get to work without having to take 2 hours worth of alternative routes, and I'll be in a better mood to help the public. But when it takes me a stupid amount of time to get to work and all just to hear some stupid person whinge about how long it took them to get from A to B because they blatantly didn't check before they went to travel (and more often than not, the people that whinge still do at least an hour's less travelling than I do, and I live in London, and not in poncy Kent), I just want to shake some sense into people and tell them to get their heads out of their backsides.

It annoys me so much when some members of the public think they're the only people that use the network, then they act so surprised that a large majority of staff actually use it too just to get to work.
