We had fish and chips in the town (where giant seagulls awaited us) whilst we waited for the train to go back to Fort William.
A lot of the places we went to we did by train as well as by roads that ran alongside nearby. We went to Mallaig from Fort William on one day, as well as driving back from there when we caught the ferry from Armadale. It's quite a scenic route (though, to be fair, most of the trains around the Highlands appear to cut through nothing but scenery!), so no surprise really that this is also the line where the Jacobite steam train (the train used in the Harry Potter films) runs during the summer. Sadly, we were a bit too early for that!
