As a team they stretched. Ever upward. Reaching for their unattainable goal. Little ones standing on bigger. Others climbing past to shoot for first.
Day in, day out; stretching, reaching, climbing, pressing, never to succeed.
Finding instead, one day that their goal needn't be touched, for it came to them. Furious, heavy, and opressive. What they strived so hard for came down and destroyed them all; one little white flake at a time.
