On our way to the Pirate Festival
On Saturday, Sheri, Lindsay, Darren and I took a short walk from The Ocho to Belmont Pier to go check out the Pirate Festival on the pier. You can see a little bit of it going on in the background.
It was such a beautiful day in Long Beach, nice breeze, not too too hot out. I got a tiny bit of red on my noise, Sheri got super burnt.
There was a lot of people dressed up and in full pirate persona. Really interesting fellow wanted to take Lindsay with him. The smell of rum could be smelled on his breathe. :D
Had some clam chowder (which I LOVE) and an ice cold beer. After we made the walk down to the end and back, we played around near the shore, before heading back home. It was an overall good weekend. Looking forward to many more this summer. Next weekend it is off to Pechanga (Indian Casino) with my Grandpa to spend a day with him. I did okay there 3 years ago when I last went, would be nice to win just enough to pay off our credit cards. Not too much. Would be nice :)
