The 365 day project has been a real pleasure for me. It has turned me into a better photographer, it has made memories, but most importantly, it has turned me into a more open person. After the project, I have realized that everything is possible. It may be a cliché statement, but most people do not live up to it. Therefor I highly recommend you to actually follow through your New Year’s statements.
It has given me more motivation to continue photographing. I know that not every photo I have uploaded has been the best, but I think the point with the project is to experiment and be creative with photography. Therefor you should not be too harsh on yourself when uploading. Something’s work and something’s don’t. You never know how the shot will turn out before you try it.
Since I started with photography, I have always wanted to someday make it as a professional. I know the market is tough, and you will need much luck to make it. However I do not believe that luck is a coincidence, as photographer Audun Rikardsen once said “luck is rarely a coincides”. He believes that if you work hard enough you will receive luck. Photography is much like composing music; you must be creative, see balance, and have a good ear/eye.
Many ask me if I am going to continue with project next year, but I want. I do not think I will ever do the project again, even though it is a very learningful process. Next year I will focus more on marketing and publishing. I’m also sitting on many photos that has not been published yet. I’m not sure what kind of projects I’m going to do next year, but I will set some goals during the next weeks that I will share with you.
Once again, I want to thank you all for following me! I think this has been my best and most learningful year so far. When I started with the project I had around 20 followers, now I has more than 3000! I wish you all a happy new year and hope you get inspired to take more photographs next year
