The Trevi Fountain, with lights on; Rome, Italy

The Trevi fountain is the largest of the Baroque fountains in Rome, and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in the world.

The fountain is 26.30 m high and 49.15 m wide. Every day it spills 80.000 cubic meter of water.

The design of the Trevi fountain is based on three architectural elements: a façade made of travertine; statues of carrara marble; a see reef also made of travertine (trevifountain.net).

There's always throngs of people admiring it, and throwing coins over their shoulder.
