Valparai - Sambar Deer on road edge

Wildlife killings by speeding vehicles is a very real menace in Valparai.

 

This deer was standing just 1ft away from me but I almost never saw him in the twilight. Would not have noticed him if some motorcyclists had not stopped to stare.
