Nida
Star trails above the Sundial on the Parnidis dune in Nida, Lithuania.
The Nida Sundial is situated on Parnidis dune - the highest point of the Curonian spit peninsula in Western Lithuania. At the height of 53 metres, both Baltic sea and Curonian lagoon are visible from the dune, making it the ideal spot for such a device. The upper part of the sundial was destroyed by a hurricane in 1999 and has only been rebuilt in November 2010.
